On the occasion of the Jubilee, the security plan provides for the enhancement of video surveillance systems to ensure constant monitoring of the territory and guarantee the safety of those who will live the city. The intervention, divided over several years, involves the implementation of new video surveillance systems in sites of strategic importance currently without coverage. 

The project includes a large number of interventions necessary to eliminate architectural barriers in public buildings and places of collective interest in the municipal territory, so as to ensure actual inclusivity for all. 

The Spanish company CAF - Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles won the tender for the supply of 121 new trams, marking a significant step for the capital's urban mobility. The new vehicles, 33.5 meters long, will be able to carry up to 215 passengers, with 68 seats and 2 spaces for people with disabilities, who will be able to take advantage of access platforms and all the modern equipment that guarantee them a more comfortable and safe trip.

All vehicles will be equipped with air conditioning, video surveillance systems, sound diffusion and passenger counters, as well as an anti-collision sensor with pedestrians. Part of the supply will be bimodal: the trainsets will be powered by the overhead network or only with batteries for autonomous driving. 

The project foresees the arrival of the first tram by the fourth quarter of 2025, followed by the phased delivery of an additional 59 trams through to July 2028.

The project is aimed at expanding the Muratella kennel through the construction of new buildings to house the doghouses and a public Veterinary Hospital.                                                                     

The Hospital's premises will be distributed between the first floor of the current central administrative building and the ground floor of the structure behind it, where new surgeries and operating rooms will be created. 

To complement these healthcare functions, the renovation and redevelopment of the spaces dedicated to offices, meeting room and visitor reception is planned. In addition, a green area will be set up, where new spaces dedicated to dogs will be created. 

The train equipment revision service is carried out every five and ten years, excluding tyres and brakes. The extraordinary intervention involves restoring the decoration and upgrading 13 trainsets, repairing train V002 and supplying and replacing wheels to ensure optimum performance and improve the passenger experience.

The intervention involves the construction of a new parking area in Piazza della Radio, following the stipulation of the agreement that grants the surface right for 90 years. The construction of the parking area, located in the territory of Municipality XI, is an important opportunity for the redevelopment of the square, hub of the Marconi neighbourhood and traffic junction towards the southern quadrant of the capital. The project involves the creation of 277 rotating parking spaces for cars and 20 rotating spaces for motorcycles, plus 179 spaces for cars and 12 for motorcycles in appurtenant boxes.

The project provides € 6,516,424.50 for the construction of the appurtenant parking area and € 7,816,268.74 for the rotating parking area.

The intervention involves the new construction of a parking area at Lungotevere Arnaldo da Brescia, in the stretch that goes from Ponte Regina Margherita to Via Luisa di Savoia, in Municipality I and from Via Luisa di Savoia to Ponte Pietro Nenni, in Municipality II. The parking area will consist of 156 parking spaces, divided into 47 boxes (including one double), 46 appurtenant spaces (available to residents who will buy them in surface right for 90 years) and 62 rotating spaces for individuals.

The project provides € 7,886,327.73 for the construction of the appurtenant parking area and € 3,673,800.95 for the rotating parking area. The surface area alone is expected to be completed between December 2024 and the first months of 2026.

The enhancement of the "Anagnina A" parking area involves the installation of modular structures in metal carpentry, which will allow the addition of 258 new parking spaces, for a total of 772 spaces. The intervention also includes the redevelopment of existing spaces, offering an overall structural and functional improvement.

The project will be developed through three lines of activities aimed at fostering autonomy and inclusion through customised solutions and job opportunities:

• definition and activation of the individualised project: in this phase, various interventions will be defined to foster the autonomy of people with disabilities. The individual project will identify the objectives to be achieved, outlining a path to promote living and working autonomy, taking into account the specific needs of each individual.
• housing: the second line of activities will focus on the adaptation of living spaces, the implementation of home automation technologies and remote assistance. Each flat can accommodate a maximum of six people. The housing projects, consisting of one or two flat groups, may involve between 7 and 10 people. Each home will be customised and equipped with tools and technologies that facilitate remote interaction, providing specific solutions according to the needs of each participant;
• employment: the third line of activities will focus on the development of digital skills in order to facilitate the employment of people with disabilities. Job opportunities will be enhanced through specific training courses and the acquisition of skills in digital technologies.
