The work involved the redevelopment of the quay adjacent to Foro Italico, in the floodplain area between Ponte Milvio and Ponte Duca d'Aosta. 

The project was developed around three main themes: accessibility and walkability, the "Piazza Lunga del Parco", the overlook terraces. The objective was to integrate the natural heritage, such as waterways and parks, and to create a harmonious and balanced relationship with the city and with the use that citizens make of it. 

The work focused, above all, on the redevelopment and enhancement of the Lungotevere, so that the river banks can be used safely and enjoyably. Each design choice was made to contribute to biodiversity and sustainability, with the aim of fostering the creation of a resilient and ecologically balanced green environment. 

Thanks to its proximity to the cycle path of Via Capoprati, to the Stadio dei Marmi and to the Stadio Olimpico, the Park's vocation is absolutely sporty. Public sports equipment was therefore placed along the second quay.
