New Digital "Roma Pass"
Implementing party
Project description
Roma Capitale, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Lazio Region and the Mobility Agency, has promoted and created a cultural tourist card. This innovative solution offers a single pass, the Roma Pass, which provides access to all archaeological and museum sites in the city, including both state and municipal sites, as well as local public transport. The Roma Pass card was previously available only on physical media and with predefined content that could not be customised. However, in celebration of the Jubilee Year it has been transformed into a digital card capable of accommodating new services and itineraries of the Eternal City.
Specifically, the digital Roma Pass allows access to various services: entrance to the sites and attractions, access to events (concerts, theatre, ballet, opera, Rome Film Festival, etc.), use of public transport.
The digital Roma Pass portal and app supports the visitor in the main phases of the customer journey: Decision, Planning, Ticketing, Experience.
The installation and configuration of computer-based access control and security equipment (gates, access controls, handhelds, etc.) have been carried out at all sites that can be visited and on local and regional public transport in order to recognise the visitor's access via their digital access card. Furthermore, access to numerous partnership agreements is available.
The new digital Roma Pass is promoted through on-line and off-line communication campaigns both nationally and internationally, as well as in trade fairs and dedicated events.
