Italian National Digital Data Platform
Implementing party
Project description
The aim of the project is that of enhancing the information capital of Rome. Through the interoperability for simple public services that implement the "once only" principle, the aim is to increase the efficiency of the administrative action, reduce the request for data from citizens, and create new development opportunities for businesses.
Measure 1.3.1 provides for the provision and activation of e-services on the Italian National Digital Data Platform (PDND) managed by PagoPA.
Functionality of PDND:
- Authentication, authorisation, and tracking to guarantee information security;
- Shared rules to simplify agreements, streamline investigation processes, and reduce administrative burdens;
- Growing API catalogue to expose all the e-services published by providers, encouraging the integration of services to citizens.
Publishing uniform APIs maximises interoperability and allows to aggregate the requests to suppliers, increasing the effectiveness of the investment.
For Roma Capitale, integration with the PDND is envisaged through the provision of no. 7 APIs.
The activation of all the e-services identified in the PDND Platform involves the implementation of the following macro-activities:
- Completing the onboarding process;
- Development of services and related APIs;
- API Publications on PDND Testing Platform;
- API publications on PDND Production Platform.
Roma Capitale will activate all the e-services identified until at least December 2026 and will make them visible and active in the API Catalogue of PDND Production Platform.
