Caput Mundi: Via delle Botteghe Oscure – Temple of the Nymphs: recovery of the systems and conservative restoration

The project focused on various activities aimed at enhancing the ancient structures located in the archaeological area of Via delle Botteghe Oscure.
In detail, the following works were planned:
- Sewerage system renovation: renovation and enhancing interventions were carried out on the building's sewerage system. Assessments, repairs and replacements of pipes and were carried out to ensure correct disposal of waste water;
- Restoration of the columns (stucco parts): the columns in the building underwent a specific restoration intervention. Damaged or deteriorated parts were repaired and restored using appropriate techniques. The original stucco decorations of the columns were restored, giving them back their original aesthetic appearance;
- Anti-intrusion system: in order to ensure the safety of the building, an anti-intrusion system was installed. This system allowed the entire complex to be monitored and protected, helping to prevent unwanted intrusions and ensuring the protection of the building historical and artistic heritage;
- Artistic Lighting System: to enhance the artistic aspect of the building and create an evocative atmosphere, an artistic lighting system was created. Strategic light points were installed, so to highlight the architectural and decorative characteristics of the building during the evening hours, thus allowing the aesthetic enjoyment of the building even at night.
