The scope of the project is on one of the main axes of the city, running through Cinecittà, Centocelle and Colli Aniene. The entire route will be around 8 km with 19 intermediate stops, starting from the terminus in Via Orazio Pulvillo, near the Subaugusta underground station, to the terminus near the Ponte Mammolo interchange.

The project involves the construction of a new tramway headquarters in the middle of the central traffic divider, particularly wide. At present, the space is characterised by green areas, the cycle track, car parking spaces, waste areas used as scrapyards, as well as two rows of tall trees.

The project will include infrastructural works, one of which will be of high importance, relating to the completion of the road and rail flyover ramps, which will allow the overrun of via Collatina and the FR2 (High Speed and Rome Sulmona; TAV-AT-01-102) railway.

It is planned to supply 20 units of battery-powered rolling stock for use on catenary-free routes, which will be housed and maintained at the Atac depot in Via Prenestina. Line 10 Ponte Mammolo-Basilica San Paolo will be provided for the new infrastructure.
