The intervention in question, financed with municipal funds, involved the renovation of a key avenue of the park, namely Viale Don Luigi di Liegro,, which connects the upper and lower parts of the park. The affected area was uneven due to the presence of incorrect plantings dating back to the 1970s' and the flow of torrents of water that violently flow into the reservoir formed by the avenue.

Activities involved:

• the construction of substantial natural engineering works upstream to curb the convergence of water downstream;
• the construction of the sewage system for the disposal of water in the channel below;
• the reconstruction of the path in sanpietrini.

The second part of the intervention involved the improvement of the entrance plaza accessible from Via Salaria 267, which leads to the Egyptian Embassy and the Church of Divine Love.
