The intervention involved the extraordinary maintenance of the left quay of the Tiber in the section from Ponte Fabricio to Ponte Testaccio. This stretch of embankment, approximately 2 kilometers long, underwent a special cleaning process that also removed the river silt deposited after the river floods. Over the years, due to lack of maintenance, bushes and reeds had grown spontaneously on the layer of silt, to the extent that the original pavement of flagstones was no longer visible. Furthermore, all scattered waste within the vegetation was removed through separate collection, and informal settlements in the construction area were cleared.
