Extraordinary maintenance of pavements on main roads: Consolidated City, City of Restructuring and City of Transformation
Implementing party
Project description
In view of the Jubilee 2025, Roma Capitale intends to implement various maintenance and upgrading works on the city pavements in order to improve pedestrian traffic and facilitate the movement of pilgrims and tourists. The intervention will focus on the main pavements, prioritising those that connect sacred sites in the Historic District as defined by the general master plan of Rome (Municipal Council Resolution no. 33 of 19/20 March 2003). 3 million euro will be allocated to the interventions, which will be entrusted through a framework agreement in order to optimise procedures. Activities will include the upgrading of pavements with the use of furniture elements, the removal of architectural barriers, the adaptation of ramps and the maintenance of sensitive routes using materials such as slabs, cobblestone and asphalt.
