Project description
In anticipation of the 2025 Jubilee, new architectural redevelopment and accessibility improvement interventions were carried out, divided into four macro-areas:
- Architectural redevelopment and improvement of the accessibility of the central underpass: the interventions were aimed at improving the architectural appearance and accessibility of the central underpass of the station.
- Architectural redevelopment and improvement of the accessibility of the longitudinal underpass (via Giolitti side): architectural improvement and accessibility of the longitudinal underpass, located on the side of Via Giolitti, were planned.
- Improvement of accessibility to tracks 1-2 EAST: the activities included the construction of a new shelter to cover the paved space between track 1 and tracks 1-2 east, previously without coverage.
- Improvement of accessibility to tracks 25-29: interventions included the arrangement of shelters and the adaptation of sidewalks to improve accessibility to tracks 25-29.
The main objective of the activities was to make the station more welcoming, functional and accessible for visitors on the occasion of the 2025 Jubilee, while improving the aesthetic appearance and usability of the railway infrastructure.
