The "Evoluzione Roma Data Platform" (RDP) project aims to create an enabling tool for the Smart City, operating as a Decision Support System (DSS) to support administrative activities and stakeholders. The platform acts as a centralised "virtual repository" of Roma Capitale data, allowing it to be aggregated and exchanged with other systems. 

The RDP offers citizens digital services such as apps, data visualization dashboards, APIs and web services.

The project focuses on platform updates and enhancements, including data management, processing and delivery, the definition of organizational models for data provision and access management, as well as cloud services. All activities are designed to ensure scalability, safety, usability and quality.

The specific objectives of the project include the census, analysis and integration of the datasets necessary for the monitoring of urban phenomena, the development of an innovative tool for the publication of Open Data and the involvement of all public institutions to create updated and shared databases. 

The interoperability of RDP data will promote cooperation between municipalities, enabling data-driven strategies, and city users will benefit from always up-to-date digital services.

The “Evoluzione Roma Data Platform” project, in synergy with other initiatives such as “Evoluzione Casa Digitale del Cittadino” (CDC) and “Acquisizione Dati Geospaziale per GeoRoma” (GeoRoma), provides essential data for the platforms and collects feedback to optimize public services.
