The "Participatory project Piazza dei Navigatori - Project to relaunch the Civic Pole of via Aldo Ballarin", included in the three-year programme of the 2020-2022 public works, identified with the code OP1906610001, reflects the will of the Municipal Administration to redevelop and give back to the community a space dedicated to culture and sport, acting as a reference point for the neighbourhood.

The Civic Pole complex, consisting of the "Pasquale De Angelis" auditorium, the "Bruna Macelloni" gym and an outdoor space, is located behind the part of the building assigned to the Local Police Corps of Rome Capital - O.U. VIII Tintoretto Group, between Viale Aldo Ballarin and Via Grezar, accessible via a one-way road as a branch of Viale Aldo Ballarin.

The extraordinary maintenance work, carried out between 08/11/2022 and 21/12/2023, involved the construction of a new road and pedestrian access route from Via Grezar and a new delimitation of the access area to the Auditorium. In the outdoor area, equipped with pedestrian paths and new lighting, a multi-purpose basketball/volleyball court and a small outdoor amphitheatre have been created. The Auditorium and the gym have been functionally separated, each with dedicated accesses, and the roofing system of both buildings has been completely replaced. Part of the windows has been renovated, the ceiling of the auditorium has been rebuilt, along with plaster and external and internal paintwork.
