The intervention, within the Interventional Radiology Department, in Building B, Body A of the Sant'Eugenio Hospital Centre, involved the construction of a room for the installation of an angiography device. The main works required for the preparation and equipping of the premises included: the consolidation of the floors and supporting structures, the construction of a new safety staircase, the execution of the electrical and mechanical plant works for the creation of a new power line starting from the transformation cabin, the supply and installation of the electrical panel of the machinery, the installation of the air conditioning and air treatment system. Provision was also made for the refurbishment of the ancillary rooms of interventional radiology, in order to relocate the CT unit and improve circulation routes, in compliance with the minimum requirements. Further works concerned the complete refurbishment of an area in Building A to create new staff changing rooms, with capacity for approximately 190 spaces.

The Hospital Centre also provided for the installation of a new 256-layer CT scanner, which replaced the previous 64-layer scanner and improved the hospital's diagnostic capacity. The operation included a series of complementary interventions: the renovation of the installation site, the replacement of the electrical panel, the revision of the air conditioning, lighting and medical gas systems, the execution of proteximetric works. In addition to these improvements, a high-end ecotomograph equipped with 5 probes and monitoring stations capable of monitoring up to 24 beds was purchased.
