Project description
The project involves the creation of a multipurpose sports facility for the University of Tor Vergata, a facility that can also meet the educational needs of the degree in physical education. The intervention, as stated in the detailed plan of the University, is planned in the VA5 sector, near the Botanical Garden.
The new Sports Centre will consist of three buildings:
- a gym designed for team activities (volleyball, basketball, gymnastics, etc.) with stands for 95 spectators;
- a building designated for changing rooms and a health area with a first aid station and rooms for the activities of the teaching staff;
- a building dedicated to the physical science laboratory, with a central multi-purpose space (for free exercises, aerobics, gentle gymnastics, and warm-ups, as well as activities carried out with equipment for athlete monitoring, etc.) and fitness areas, along with a room for monitoring equipment, some rooms for study and research, and for administration.
The three buildings will be connected to each other creating a unitary complex.
