Project description
The redevelopment of the Rugantino Library, located in the Torre Spaccata neighbourhood (VI Municipality), aims to improve the building's energy efficiency and make the spaces more accessible to people with disabilities.
Specifically, the planned activities will include the following interventions:
- Cleaning of the external surfaces of the library to improve the aesthetic appearance of the surrounding area;
- Revision of the sheaths in the roof and remaking of the internal surfaces to ensure structural integrity and internal aesthetics;
- Painting of interior surfaces with highly breathable paints for a healthy environment;
- Complete refurbishment of the floors and cladding of the main service block, including the replacement of sanitary ware, taps and curtains;
- Transformation of internal uses to optimise spaces;
- Improvement of accessibility with the refurbishment of the external ramp for people with disabilities;
- Maintenance of outdoor green areas and creation of two new outdoor areas;
- Painting of fence rails and anti-intrusion grilles to improve safety;
- Installation of charging stations for electric bikes and creation of an area for bike sharing.
