The project of conservative restoration and enhancement includes a series of interventions aimed at preserving and enhancing the fountain. The activities are described below:

• conservative restoration of stone and plaster surfaces: conservative restoration was carried out on the stone and plaster surfaces of the fountain, including a thorough cleaning of the surfaces, removal of dirt, limescale or harmful deposits, restoration of damaged or missing parts using appropriate techniques, and application of protective treatments to preserve the surfaces in the long term;
• basin waterproofing and screed reinforcement: waterproofing was performed to ensure water tightness in the fountain basins;
• arrangement of the buffer area and metal fence: the area around the fountain was arranged to ensure proper maintenance of the buffer area;
• overhaul of water and artistic lighting systems: a general overhaul of the fountain’s water system was performed to ensure proper functionality and water distribution. Furthermore, the artistic lighting system was overhauled to enhance the architectural and sculptural elements of the fountain.
