Project description
The areas of intervention were the following:
- stone surfaces: targeted interventions were carried out on the stone surfaces of the fountain. These included thorough cleaning, removal of dirt, limescale or harmful deposits, repair or replacement of damaged or missing parts, and application of protective treatments to preserve their original appearance;
- interiors of the basins: interventions were performed to ensure water tightness, involving the overhaul or replacement of waterproofing layers, the reinforcement of underlying screeds and the application of new materials to guarantee the tightness of the basins;
- pavement of the buffer area: the pavement around the fountain, referred to as the “buffer area”, underwent targeted interventions, such as cleaning and repairing any damages and replacing damaged slabs or cobbles. Protective treatments were also applied to preserve the integrity of the pavement;
