Caput Mundi: Restoration of the Edicola del Dace and Edicola della Musa located in Villa Borghese

Project description
The Dacian prisoner and the Muse aediculae conservative project aimed to protect and enhance the relevance of these architectural monuments. The interventions included:
- biocidal treatment of surfaces to protect them from damages caused by pathogens;
- plaster integration and reinforcement to restore the aediculae structural integrity;
- cleaning and plastering of stone surfaces to remove dirt and deterioration;
- replacement or integration of roofing slate slabs for adequate weather protection;
- final painting.
The main objective was to preserve and promote the Dacian prisoner and the Muse aediculae, allowing visitors to appreciate their beauty and historical relevance in the context of Villa Borghese.
