Project description
The intervention will focus on the protection, conservation and enhancement of the monument. The intervention will involve the removal of a road section which is currently extraneous to the surrounding urban landscape. The main objective is to visually and physically reunite the monumental areas of the Fora of Augustus, Trajan and Nerva, improving the understanding and use of the area. Specifically, the project involves the implementation of the following works:
- archaeological excavation of the remaining stretch of via Alessandrina;
- conservative restoration and enhancement of wall structures;
- structural consolidation;
- reconstructions and anastylosis of ancient architectural contexts;
- creation of a visit itinerary.
